Overview
Thandile Country Lodge is a true "country lodge" where people come to escape the restore their inner self and bond with their loved ones. We are situated on a game farm 14,5 km from Bela-Bela on the Alma Road ( Old Dam Rd) We offers luxury accommodation without any TVs (deliberate decision so people can connect with each other) but with WIFI in all the areas of the guesthouse except for the bush camp. Activities include guided horse trails. We only offer self-catering accommodation at the moment as our restaurant is closed due to COVID-19 regulations until further notice. There is a communal kitchen with "heat & eat" facilities as well as braai facilities. Thandile is the ideal venue for small family functions & special occasions such as weddings ( max 80 people); business work shops & writer's retreats.

"Loved the setting and the tranquility. Wonderful hospitality and Gorgeous pets! Window near kitchen doesnt close. Perhaps a bigger shower head that allows for more water. Perhaps comfortable outdoor table and chairs. For summer poolMust be repaired."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Thandile. From the tranquil scenery , the domesticated giraffes and zebra and the dogs which surprisingly became the highlight of the trip for our kids. Magdel was the perfect hostess and we will definitely go back in future."

"Hello, I would like to say that we enjoyed our stay because the owners were good hosts and gave us nice tips on what to do in the area. The guest lodge is situated in an idyllic setting. However, we felt that more attention to detail were needed to be able to rank this place higher. Perhaps more staff training is needed so that the rooms are fully checked before guests arrive - fresh shampoo, conditioner and soap, two-pin plug, coffee, tea, milk, sugar, etc. God is in the details, I read once. And it is true - it is the final touches that makes the difference between a three-star and four-star accommodation. Having said that, the staff were friendly and kind, and the food was excellent - breakfast and dinner! Kind regards, Nicole and Stanley"
