Rosengarten Country House

"We were a group of 6 adults plus 1x 2y old kid.The owner was very friendly and helpful to explain everything on arrival.The venue was neat and well maintained by first impression.During our stay we were unhappy with the following:a)Thorn bushes all around the swimming pool and lapa.You could not walk barefoot.Very uncomfortable.b)The lapa was very dusty and untidy.There were 2 people in our group that sufferd from asma.So a no-use.c)We struggled with almost every lock to open or close,and the front gate security lock to the main house was not fully operational.We had to call on the maintenance man,just to tell us that only one of the two locks were working.d)I would say the biggest frustrations were the fact that their was no hot water in the bungalow bathroom(where my 2 elderly parents both in their mid 80's were sleeping).The pressure of the hotwater tap in the kitchen was also very frustrating.e)Ants,Ants,Ants - everywhere!You cant leave anything outside,on the kitchen counter or anywhere.If it is not in the fridge,you are bound to loose whatever is outside.What about a little pestcontrole?f)The place is fitted with blinds-but they are broken in every room.I contacted the owner on 27/12 to give feedback on our stay,which left me R6000.00 out of pocket,but up to now with no response.I think it was a rip-off!!When you plan to stay in Hekpoort,opt to stay at another venue.Anybody that wants feedback can contact me on 0820826003"

"What a wonderful place to stay. Private and secluded only you and nature. Not only is Charlotte a beautiful lady but also have a wonderful personality. David was very helpful and friendly and also the cleaning lady. We had problems with the TV. but was sorted out in minutes by Charlotte. We had a lovely stay and I enjoyed the swimming pool that is almost on your stoep. I will recommend this place to any couple or family that need a rest. Awesome!"
