Rietvlei Holiday Farm

Rietvlei Holiday Farm offers serenity in an uncomplicated rural life and comfortable accommodation located a short drive from Montagu. Guests can unwind in the fresh air and enjoy our beautiful sunsets; let your next getaway be an unforgettable one.

Guests can stay in one of the lovely Pool Cottages, the Olive Tree Cottage or the eight-sleeper Farm House. Each Pool Cottage has two bedrooms with comfortable double and single beds and the units overlook the pool. The Olive Tree Cottage is great for a romantic getaway or for a family; it offers a double bed and two single beds in the lounge. The Farm House is ideal for a big group or family and consists of four bedrooms with double and single beds. Three of the bathrooms are en-suite with a bath or shower, while the fourth bathroom has a shower only.

Each unit has an open-plan kitchen with a fridge, microwave, two-plate stove, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery and a cosy fireplace for those winter days. We provide linen, towels, indoor mosquito control, toilet paper, dishcloths, dishwashing liquid and firelighters for the first night. Guests must bring their own swimming towels and outdoor mosquito repellent. Each unit has a braai area, but guests need to bring their own braai equipment. We provide additional wood at an extra cost.

Guests can cool down in the fenced swimming pool and there are various other activities such as feeding the farm animals, tractor rides, fishing for black bass and tilapia; mountain biking or biking for younger children and walks. There are a variety of birds in the area and the clear, unpolluted sky ensures stargazers of a magnificent view of the galaxy and frequently passing satellites.
