Queens Hotel

"The hotel staff were very good,this started from when we first booked in. The room was superb, the breakfast was outstanding. The evening meals in the Colony Restaurant were exceptional."

"First the positives: friendly, helpful and responsive staff - when we arrived, the bed side lights were not working - they provided immediate response to fix the problem. However, in the morning the bathroom light did not work - it flashed for a moment then off and on flickering - difficult to shave / wash etc (no windows - a little pokey bathroom for a 4 star hotel!). Having a shower in the bath was messy because the outlet was blocked and the bath filled up rapidly. Now that is the sort of problem you cannot (or do not want) to report while in the middle of getting washed and dressed, so I reported it afterwards. Great apologies were given and the receptionist was pleasant, saying that they would have given us another room.... but I believe that was no good... it was too late. I believe they should have checked the workings of the room before we (clients) arrived. We were also disappointed in the size of serving of the rack of lamb in the hotel restaurant. It was very expensive and 4 small chops (two small mouthfuls of meat each) were served. I feel the hotel is definitely not worthy of the 4 star rating."

"A really wonderful old world style hotel. Beautiful marble floors throughout... the reception were very accommodating on ur early arrival & helped us promptly with a room. The rooms are very comfortable & have beautiful white lacy linen. Loved the tea & coffee in the rooms with REAL milk. On our leaving the hotel gave us a room for an hour so that our kids could relax before driving home. Would definitely recommend & stay again."
