"Abfab ~ short for absolutely fabulous!!! The best compliment I can think of is to say that Oliver's did not disappoint and exceeded expecations. One can taste the passion in the glorious food cooked by Oliver. The staff are without exception all so pleasant & efficient. Tanja is a wonderful hostess. The word "professional" comes to mind when describing the management team & staff ~ they work together like a well-oiled clock. It's hard to go home because one comes to feel so much at home during a stay at Oliver's. There is a lovely relaxed ambience, the decor is stunning and all the personal touches make Oliver's so special. There is a song by Tina Turner "Simply the best" (better than all the rest) ~ well, in our book that describes Oliver's. We will go out of our way to recommend Oliver's. Oliver's is a magical place & we hope to return in the (hopefully) not too distant future for another "abfab" stay. We wish Oliver & Tanya all the very best in their on-going venture of running Oliver's and wish to congratulate them on achieving such a wonderful balance of gastronomical delight and sublime lodging."

"Having stayed for over 3 weeks in S Africa in 7 guest houses/hotels of 4 or 5 star standard, we found that Oliver's Lodge offered the best accomodation of them all. Fantastic room, fantastic, setting, fantastic staff, fantastic restaurant, fantastic price. Would highly recommend."
