"Our recent visit to Naries was an absolute delight. We stayed in one of the Mountain Suites, perched on a ridge about a kilometer from the manor house. Blissfully quiet, the well-equipped and comfortably furnished interior cleverly incorporates a massive hillside boulder. The night sky is breathtaking - a must for stargazers. Meals (provided in the manor house), presentation and service were excellent, the staff friendly and efficient. On arrival we were ushered into the lounge and offered a very welcome cup of tea. The lounge itself has big comfortable couches with botanical, bird and travel books close to hand, as well as a cosy wood-burning stove. We tackled two of the hiking trails, well-marked and maintained and mostly easy going. Given the poor rains, the variety of wild flowers in bloom was quite astonishing. Naries is a jewel, and like the Terminator, We Will Be Back!"

"'n Bietjie van mens se normale roete af, maar 'n wenner. Pragtig,skoon,veilig,vriendelik, en om nie eens van die ligging te praat nie. Die uitsig oor die gebied is asemrowend. 'n Mens skakel sommer maklik af van die wreld. Dit was nou reeds 'n 2de vir ons by Naries, maar ons sal weer teruggaan. Dit bly lekker en die belewenis is wonderlik"

"absolutely worth staying there,stayed in manor house room - true understated elegance -massive bedroom .high ceilings, light and airy bedroom and especially dining room has a magnificent ambiance. Foodreally excellent and really nice feature no loud music ,magnificent music very softly playing in the backgroundright on highest point of mountain with beautiful walks and especially wonderful views of valleys and surrounding mountains"

"After a long and dusty road on a very hot day we arrived at the Naries and were immediately welcomed into the homey living room for a cup of coffee with a delicious cookie. This made us feel like coming home.The mountain suite was an outstanding experience! Complete quietness and sparkling stars, what a view from up there at sunset and sunrise!We were served an excellent dinner and breakfast, deliciously cooked and prepared with love."

"When we arrived there our toilet did not work. No water flowing into the toilet. They did sort out the problem very quickly. Our bed also had silverfish or fishmoths in it. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and the location is stunning and very beautiful."
