"Disappointed"

"The cottage was not clearly shown in the pictures when you book. There is only a picture of the bed and nothing else. The cottage is run down and needs some working on. There were no bowls or cork screw available. The security car drives by twice during the evening and wakes you up with their lights shining through the extremely thin curtains. They then proceed to talk to the guard on duty! Very frustrating. They should be more upfront with what you are getting in terms of pictures so that you dont feel as though you are being led down the garden path! I wouldnt go back."

"Very Disappointed"

"Booked accommodation at Montpellier to attend wedding but was accommodated at a different venue, Constantia House in the loft.1) Kitchen and bathroom shared with other guests. Walked into stranger in her nightgown in the morning.2) Extremely hot inside the loft room, no air-conditioning or even a fan. No top sheet on bed, only duvet.3) Unable to sleep due to mosquitos, my wife and I were very badly bitten. No insect repellent and no access to the reception at 02h00 in the morning to get some.4) Light fitting about to fall from ceiling and insect infestation in ceiling - Health and Safety risk. Floor dusty, had to wipe feet before getting into bed.5) Unable to stand upright when using the loo, basin and shower taps very dirty, used razor left on shower wall, floor needs painting.6) Coffee and tea sachetssupplied in the kitchenette but no milk or creamer in the fridge.7) Bed very uncomfortable, bed base is slatted with a spring mattress - disaster to sleep on.In all, we did not sleep much and was very disappointed with the accommodation. The wedding venue and reception was very enjoyable."

"Rietdakkie not recommended"

"There is a fine line between 'rustic' and 'shabby'. Having sticky tape covering cracks in the doors, holes in the blankets, chairs being used as side tables definitely does not qualify for being rustic. Cutlery was barely sufficient i.e. no sharp cutting knife and only two of each utensil. No washing up cloth. We can still overlook the ill matching furniture but the holes in the plastered unsealed floors, the cracks in the walls and the overall dampness creates a shabby feel."
