Overview
Makinky Manzi means 'something different at the water' and that is just what we are, situated between the mountains, the extensions from the Magalies and the Pilanesberge. We are an extraordinary beautiful bushveld game farm, with a big variety of birds, wildlife, grasslands, hills, cliffs and the most fascinating waterfall (Seasonal). Our accommodation is stylish with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, consisting of thirteen self-catering chalets. Aside from our stylish accommodation, we also specialize in weddings. Our Thabile Hall is quite big and suitable for any type of gathering, with a cash bar available. Ceremonies at the waterfall and reception in the Thabile venue as well as conferences, team building, festivals, church camps, family weekends, special birthdays, functions and year-end functions. If you wish, you could enjoy a pure South African braai with hours of conversation, laughter, stories and jokes at the boma with the warmth of the fire against your face. We love to cater to a wide variety of needs.

"Affordable and comfy stay in the bush"
13 Feb 2018
By Yannick Van Winkel
"We were welcomed very happily and enthusiastically by the couple that owns the place even though we arrived when it was dark already. We had a nice talk and they even brought us ice as we forgot to buy on the way. The chalet itself was very clean and comfortable. One note: the water in the shower shifts from hot to cold all the time but that is just a minor detail. Recommended place!"
"Lovely surrounds in the bush"

"A lovely spot in the bush. Great place for walking/birding. There was only one other chalet being occupied, so it was very peaceful. When full, it could be a bit noisy I imagine. Had a problem with a few kitchen appliances - toaster didn't work and hot plate is on a thermostat which makes cooking quite difficult. Owners are very pleasant and helpful."

"We stayed here for my Friend's birthday celebration and it was a night to remember. The hospitality from the owners and their Son was out of this world. We were allowed to check out at any time, checked out at round about 4pm which gave us an allowance to explore the place since we checked in at 1am and still received a great welcome then. Took a drive to their waterfall and the place is just breath taking. Will definitely come back as my Friends and I regretted staying only a night. I think air cons will be a sherry on top with the heat wave"

"Second time we have stayed and felt like being home away from home, but more relaxing. Corlia is such an amazing hostess and the improvements she has made are excellent. We have booked this place for our wedding next year. The waterfall, even though it is not flowing is still beautiful.Peter and Meggan"
"Not pleasant"

"Not a pleasant stay at all. The accommodation was nice and comfortable, but the service left me wishing to disappear and be at my house. Of the three nights we spent there 2 mornings we were without electricity with 1 of the morning without both water and electricity. The water from the gas geyser was below lukewarm at its best. At times I really think our host even forgot that there were guests.Establishment response: This was a hectic weekend!  It rained all the time.  Eskom died..we couldnt start the borehole as this is a farm, it rained too much.  We did try to make the stay for our customers as comfortable as possible.  Luckily they went to Sun City or Pilanesberg during day time.   As soon as Eskom came on, we started the pump.  The tanks must first be filled before there is enough pressure for the gas geysers to lite.  It was a not so good weekend for us too!  "
