Nestling in the rolling hills of Magaliesberg, overlooking the Magalies river, lies Magalies River Lodge and Bush Camp. The modern, three-level lodge features wooden decks, a dining room and four beautiful, contemporary rooms. Special lighting creates the perfect ambience and fireplaces in the dining area and rooms give a warm and romantic atmosphere during winter.
The guest lodge offers a bridal suite with a private balcony and three river-facing suites leading out onto a patio with every room beautifully furnished. All rooms are equipped with double beds, en-suite bathrooms with baths and showers, fireplaces, TVs with selected DStv channels, coffee/tea-making facilities and a minibar. The rooms can accommodate two to four guests comfortably.
The bush camp has eight large self-catering tented units that can accommodate between two and six guests comfortably. Each tent is furnished and equipped with a fully equipped kitchen with crockery/cutlery, an en-suite bathroom with shower and bath, a fan, a heater, an electric blanket, a dresser and a closet. Each unit has a private braai area for guests to enjoy.

"We stayed in one of the tent houses. The place was clean and we enjoyed every moment. Pinky is a very friendly hostess and was willing to answer all our questions and was not scared to show us around. If you want to rest and have peace and quiet this is the place."

"Myself and my wife came to spend the weekend at the lodge. Firstly the venue itself is amazing and very beautiful.But sadly that is about where it ends, we stayed in one of the tented room (tent no1) options and I was very disappointed to see that, not only is the wires in the entire room a complete mess, we did at first not have hot water and the quality of the carpet and beds were really a bit shocking as well as the fact that there was no mirror any where in the room. All basic things that can be fixed and make the stay for the guests allot better. Needless to say after all of this we eventually left a day early. Good time and good stay but for this type of quality, I wont go there again. Should have stayed at Valley lodge just down the road."

"Excellent. Clean, well-maintain facilities. Security made us feel welcome and secureOne comment: Was very cold during the night. Although there was a heater present, I think a better option would be to put a blanket under the bottom sheet, on top of the mattress. This should stop the cold from coming up below."
