Lazy Island

Lazy Island situated on Thesen Islands in the Knysna lagoon. To enter Thesen Islands you have to enter through a 24-hour security boom which makes this a very save destination. There are beautiful walks on the island to bird hides, beaches, mashie golf course tennis courts, squash courts and a beautiful walk around the island especially at night. Next to the residential area is the harbour town bustling with shops and restaurants and many tourist activities. For example ferry boats, canoe hire, yacht charters and weekend craft markets.There is also fishing at the famous old Thesen jetty where locals can give you tips.

The venue of Lazy Island is divided into three self-catering units: Beach, Driftwood and Pebble.You can rent the whole house or only one unit each with own private entrance.There is a communal jetty with and canoes available.If you have your own boat ,you can use the private mooring right next to the house. It is also ideal if have a boat and want to moor it there. The jetty is accessed from the entrance of Lazy Island.Lazy Island hangs over the water, which makes this a unique water destination. Beach is on the entire ground floor.
It is the largest unit and serves as the main kitchen, lounge and dining room should you rent the whole house. There is only one bedroom with luxury queen bed with 100 percent cotton linen and en-suite bathroom with a spa bath and rain shower. Beach has a small beach garden with sand ending at the channels' water gabion. The verandah hangs over the water with a Weber braai and beautiful views of the water. The kitchen is fully-equipped for six people. Luxury equipment and granite tops. There is also an outside shower,There is fast Wifi available .

Driftwood is on the first floor with a view of the water. Driftwood is a romantic unit with an open plan layout.The kitchen is small but fully-equipped with bar fridge, microwave, gas hob, kettle and toaster. The en-suite bathroom has a spa bath and a rain shower. The ambience is island style and relaxed. There is fast Wifi available . Under floor heating and a fireplace for winter nights and a fan for summer. The room opens up onto a balcony where there is a loungers and a Weber braai. The luxury queen size bed has lovely 100 percent cotton linen.

Pebble is also on the first floor with an outside staircase and a small balcony. This is our smallest unit with two single beds and lovely 100 percent cotton linen. The en-suite bathroom has a large rain shower. The kitchenette is fully quipped for two people.There is fast Wifi available .
