The word Kutali originates from Swahili and means far away. This is exactly the impression you get when driving up to Kutali Mountain Lodge, nestled on the slopes of Table Mountain in the picturesque Hout Bay.
The lodge offers four bedrooms furnished with double beds and three bathrooms. The rooms have private balconies with uninterrupted views of the forest terrain and the mountain slopes. Equipped with Satellite TVs and DVD players, it also has a kitchen area as well as an African-style outdoor boma with a braai and swimming pool.
We provide a welcoming pack for guests who prefer the self-catering option. This consists of coffee, tea, milk, sugar, bread, fruit, biscuits, a bottle of red and white wine, orange juice, a still water, flowers and a sufficient supply of toilet paper and soap upon arrival.
The lodge is fully serviced and additional services are available on request. Katuli has a 24-hour manned security boom for your safety and privacy as well as 24-hour ADT armed response. We can arrange vehicle rentals, shuttle services, organized tours and helicopter trips upon request.
Guests can enjoy drinks or braais around the boma and the pool area. We cater for meals on request and the setting is also wonderfully romantic for weddings and intimate enough for other functions
There are various activities in the area including mountain hiking, horse riding, sunset cruises, sport fishing and birdwatching. The lodge is situated two minutes' from World of Birds, the beach and Hout Bay Harbour with Mariners Wharf; guests can embark on a tour to Seal Island from here. It is also close to all major shopping centres, Steenberg Golf Estate and the Constantia Winelands.
