In the mood for a weekend or weekday break not too far from Johannesburg or Pretoria? Look no further as Hippie lodge 227, is the ideal lodge for a quiet getaway. This rustic lodge is privately owned inside the Mabalingwe nature reserve situated 28 km from Bela Bela and 140 km from Pretoria.
Tucked away in the bush with four en-suite bedrooms, you can sit on the patio and watch game come right up to the lodge. A private pool, a boma and an open braai facility completes the picture, plus there are bush showers so one can really experience nature. We welcome our guests, but we do request the highest respect for Nature, the animals and our property. Hippie Lodge is unfortunately not available for parties (matriculation parties, year-end parties, bachelor parties, etc.), and no music is allowed, as it disturbs the bush life and the neighbors.

"We had a wonderful stay at Kanya Lodge. The whole family had a very good time, and the main lodge with 2 separate chalets worked very well for our family set up. The kitchen with big fridges and dishwasher also made our lives much easier. Loads of animals came to visit including a big herd of buffalo, what an experience! We will definitely return soon!
