Jan Fenna's Cottage is situated on the rise of a hill, with breathtaking views over the Waterkloof farm and surrounding countryside. Waterkloof, a free-range ostrich farm, is arguably one of the finest commercial farms in the Heidelberg district and has been in the family for seven generations.
The cottage can sleep up to five guests and comprises two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a large kitchen and living room area with an extra bed which can be used either as a couch or as a bed. The cottage is furnished and decorated in the old Cape Dutch style and is fully equipped with modern gas appliances, battery-operated lanterns and romantic candles.
The famous Malagas pont is a 15 km drive from the farm and whale watching is possible from June to November each year. Farming activities include 3000 ostriches, Merino sheep and wheat. Guests are invited to join Hannes and Christine on a farm tour whenever they wish, and ostrich leather products are also available for sale.
