Harbour View Lodge is set on the slopes of the Steenbras Mountains, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean from the Cape of Good Hope, Table Mountain, to beyond the harbour in Gordons Bay and the road leading along the coast to Hermanus.
We offer five en-suite double bedrooms, one Luxury Honeymoon Suite and four Classic Rooms. Three of the Classic Rooms have king-size beds which can be separated into single beds if required, as well as an additional bed if necessary. Two rooms are located on the ground level with direct access to the main balcony, while the other three rooms are on the lower level, each with private balcony.
All the rooms feature en-suite bathrooms with all the necessary toiletries, tea and coffee trays, ceiling fans, TVs, DStv, heaters, and ADSL broadband wireless Internet. A lovely full breakfast is also included in the rate.
We offer friendly service, tourism advice, and can arrange shuttle services, car hire and tours to most attractions such as shark cage diving and deep sea fishing. We provide that home away from home atmosphere with friendly staff and will make your stay most memorable. Dutch is also spoken.

"Our stay at the guest house was pleasant but definitely nothing to rave about. You can tell there was once a time when the establishment was pristine, but it now only has remnants left of that time.The carpets were worn and in desperate need of a clean. The overall impression of the building inside and out was that it was in need of some general repair, a deep clean and some dcor and fitting updates. When we arrived the duvet had not yet been put into the cover on our bed, we were told it was because of the recent hot spell, but we needed a duvet that night, so I had to put it together myself. During the 3 nights we were there we used up the roll of toilet paper we were given and it was not replaced even though our room was serviced (only once because the second day the maid only knocked at 11:30am and then fought with me because I asked her to come back a half hour later, because we were dressing, she said she couldnt because she had to go home, so our room was just not made up that day), I had to go and fetch toilet paper from the guest bathroom up stairs.Although DSTV is advertised in the rooms, it is only one channel which is controlled by the main decoder in the lounge, so its every man for himself if the place fills up (this was also not explained on arrival and I had to figure it out when my husband wanted to watch the cricket). We were not offered Wi-Fi access or a password and although the breakfast was sufficient, my soft fried eggs were far from soft.The mini milk boxes in our room were also expired. The bottles of toiletries (also advertised) were half or completely empty, our first set of towels were quite threadbare and to top it off, one could hardly turn around in the shower without banging an elbow.The owner was friendly and the view was every bit as beautiful as we could have hoped for, but only a few small improvements would have made all the difference. Disappointing."

"We stayed for one night but it was very much like a home away from home.totally love it.the view from the room was amazing. the hosts were so friendly. i was totally relaxed it was the first time my hubby took me away it was a great surprise.i will so do it again.and will totally come to the harbour view lodge again."

"We had an ocean view bedroom and the view was spectacular.We sat on our balcony watching the whales.The breakfast was great with plenty of choice.Gordons Bay is very centally placed for visiting other areas, like the winelands and Hernamus.The coast road to Hermanus is very beautiful and is an equal to the famous Chapmans Peak Drive. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly book again if we re-visit the Cape Town area."

"Harbour View Lodge surpassed my wildest expectations. The view. The view and again THE VIEW!!!! Wau!!! Going to bed listening to the sea, watching the lights in the Bay and waking up to beautiful day with this beautiful piece of water stretching as far as the eye can see. Thank you Lia for a wonderful three days. I wish we could have stayed longer. See you next year. "
