"If you're looking to escape and I mean really escape from the throngs of city life, then Dirk se Huisie is the perfect mountain getaway. Nestled within the Cedarderg mountains Dirk se Huisie is a secluded wonder. No electricty & mininmal signal this humble yet magical cottage is perfect if you're after tranquil beauty. The hosts, Elzette, Oom Appel/Jannie & everyone we encountered was super accommodating & friendly!"

"Fynbos haven"

"Quiet, just off the proverbial beaten track, high above the hot Citrusdal and Swartland, with views to even Baardskeerdersbos if it is clear! Beautiful hike up a mountain from the back door of the house, through varied fynbos and with spectacular weathered rocks like in the Cederberg (including a massive arch)."
