"After our fantastic Namibian trip, I must say that I was really disappointed with our overnight stay at de Stijl at R1005 per night per person which included a cereal breakfast /yoghurt and fruit otherwise you had to purchase items from breakfast menu. Our waiter Vuyo was fantastic in the evening. My rare rump steak was rather tough and there were no sauce options (pepper, mushroom etc) but my husband enjoyed his lamb curry. Not sure we will stop off there again."

"Nice hotel with glorious views of Gariep Dam. Large rooms but no fridge and no international news channels. The food was ghastly. The lamb roast was dry and chewy. The pumpkin swimming in sugar. Omlette for breakfast was cold. The only Sauvignon Blanc by the glass was undrinkkable. Problem with hotels like these is that they employ cooks, not chefs. Cooks use no herbs and spices and don't have a clue about innovative cuisine."

"We had a lovely stay at De Stijl. The staff (especially in the restaurant) is super friendly and mad us feel very welcome. The room is neat & clean, the only thing I missed was a plug close to a mirror to style my hair. The food in the restaurant is superb and the views are absolutely gorgeous!"
