Off the R563, nestled on a gentle slope overlooking the Cradle of Humankind, our lodge is just a few minutes away from a host of activities offered within the World Heritage Site. We offer eight beautifully appointed suites, some with their own private patios ideal for an intimate romantic dinner. With the option of king, queen or single size beds our spacious suites all offer comfortably at affordable prices.
The lodge has a licensed pub, a dining facility where 3 course meals are prepared (booking essential - prior to arrival) and a pool, all situated on 36 hectares of rolling Savannah veld and indigenous trees. Our garden is home to a number of bird species and if you are lucky, game can be seen on the adjacent game reserve from your breakfast table. The three main centers of Johannesburg, Pretoria and Rustenburg are easily accessible from our lodge, making us the ideal base for Soccer fans.
The conference facility is equipped to host up to 25 people for day Conferences and up to 16 over night sharing or eight single. Come and enjoy our facility and friendly staff.

"Rooms were infested with flys. Spare blanket in cupboard was an inner duvet with no cover and had big burn marks. One of the bathroom towels supplied was hand towel! Ran out of stock in the bar. Served oros instead of orange juice for breakfast. The place has loads of potential but clearly neglected. Not worth the money charged!!!"

"The room was not ready, there was no communication between the owner and the management regarding the booking, the wrong room was given, different to what was sent on the email, only one towel, person could not understand english and had difficulty communicating to us, we were promised a refund and to date have not received any money back from the establishment- I would check their books it doesn't seem like this is a above board establishment since the owner is dishonest and does not follow through on his promises"

"Group booking. Two couples were sent to another lodge. One without prior notice.Only one bath towel and one hand towel per room. No soap. some rooms didn't even have a bathmat .Definitely not 4 star as advertised.Breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly and helpful."

It is very rarely that staff provide exceptional service to their clients, so I think that it should be applauded!The guys went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was a great one and that all our needs were met.As far as the lodgings go, it was great. It was great to get away from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg, to the peace and tranquility of the Cradle Lodge. One would never say that one was less than an hour away from Johannesburg!To Kish and the team - great job! We will be coming back to visit when our batteries need recharging."
