Welcome to Cactus Lodge. This spacious five-bedroom, fully-equipped, self-catering lodge in Betty's Bay lies nestled between the Kogelberg Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean. The Cactus Lodge overlooks the lake, has breath-taking panoramic views from the sundeck and it is surrounded by spectacular nature.There are five beautifully decorated en-suite rooms providing self-catering accommodations for up to 12 people. There are 5 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. One bedroom has a King size bed, one bedroom has a Queen size bed, 1 bedroom has a double bed, 1 bedroom has 2 single beds and 1 bedroom has a double bed and bunk bed (2 singles). All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. Bedding provided. Please bring own towels and additional blankets if required. There are 2 sleeper couches in the sun room - suitable for children.The living areas consist of the dining area downstairs, an open plan kitchen/living room with a fireplace that opens onto the inner courtyard. The courtyard is north facing and perfect for guests to sunbathe on the sun loungers or enjoy the braai facilities. Upstairs there is a lounge with a TV and video facilities, combined with a sun room and a sundeck that offers spectacular views.The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, electric stove, microwave, crockery, cutlery and other necessary equipment.

"We had great fun at this place and there was lots of room to accomodate everyone.The entertainment area needs to be updated up stairs and the step going upstairs needs to be replaced.Downstairs is great for entertaining with the open plan kitchen and fire place for game nights.It just needs more comfortable chairs.around the table.Please updatethe photos on website.Other than that, I would recommend it to anyone."

"Lovely place, many rooms, the upstairs living area and balcony are awesome, and the stars at night were amazing, just wish the place had a little more equipment to clean up, no broom even, or dishclothes, had to go buy it ourselves, just a few things were needed to make it better, otherwise quiet and peaceful. Beach is close by as well."

"If you looking for a fun filled holiday resort, this is not the place for you. It isn't very child friendly, and the staircase is a bit of a hazard, however, the place is well equipped with everything you need, no hassles whatsoever. Close to the beach, Pub up the street and shops not to far away. A very quiet and secure area. I just loved the tranquility. Sunsets and sunrises are amazing. We had a fabulous time and will stay here anytime, optimistically in the future. Thanks loads! :)"

"If you are looking for a glamorous holiday then this isn't the place for you. However we had a great time. A group of friends enjoying a summer weekend away. The house was large and comfortable enough to accommodate our needs in a pleasant location. We had a good time watching the rugby at the local pub and exploring the area."

"Unfortunately the feedback that I have is not good at all. What convinced me to book Cactus for our family retreat was the information and visuals on your site as well as their website.
Besides the fact that my sisters car was broken into because the garage was unavailable, all the rooms were a letdown. On your website, one of the rooms has a four poster bed, when we arrived this same bed become a 1 poster and had a broken mattress. Sheets were torn in back rooms, toilets leak, stove was dirty and rusted. Hammock on sundeck was removed. Blinds in Entertainment area was bent and broken with a library of dusty and out dated books. The quart yard table and chairs did not exists and we found the wooden skeleton remains laying about. There staircase is a hazord and shoul be looked at. My list goes on...despite it all because we didn't have much of a choice we made the most of it. Unfortunately we will not be returning neither recommending the lodge to anyone. Disappointed."

"The place was well kitted with everything you need, no hassles whatsoever. Close to the beach and very quiet and secure! We had a lovely time and will stay here anytime in the future!
