Bramble Cottage on Glen Faye Farm lies 15 kilometers out of Knysna on the Rheenendal road, close to historical gold mines and pristine forest reserves which are home to the last of the Knysna forest elephants.

Within these reserves are wonderful forest walks, biking trails and picnic spots alongside clear water streams. Within a 10 minute drive there is a choice of swimming, fishing and surfing beaches to suite your every whim.

Mountain views, indigenous forests and green pastures surround the farm, a peaceful place for you to relax away from the bustle of the city. We are a birder friendly place where care is taken to enhance the birding potential of the area and your enjoyment of it. A number of pathways lead to quiet spots in the fynbos where you can soak up a few precious moments with nature.

If you want to enhance your vacation with an enjoyable activity, art or craft, bird watching, horse riding on beach or in forest, paragliding or golfing, we have a list of contact numbers to make the connection effortless. Spend a night exploring the taverns and restaurants on the waterfront, then come home to your cottage and sleep as late as you like. This is Knysna and youre on holiday.

"The perfect place to get away from the rush and bustle of life. Close enough to Knysna and other towns. Well equipped, comfortable and clean. Only problem needing attention was the broken toilet seat in the second bedroom and soap running low in the main bedroom. Lovely stay overall."

"Our second stay, and as always, a treat. Private and with all the facilities you can ever want or need. Only criticism is that the waste bins are limited and not cleared on a daily bases if your stay is a long one."

"What a fantastic stay we had at Bramble Cottage! The owners were very friendly and helpful. The outdoor braai was cleaned everyday and then packed again for the next time we wanted to braai so we would only have to strike a match! The bedding was absolutely fantastic! Puffy duvet and pillows. The photo's on the website doesn't do justice to the Bramble Cottage. You have got to see and experience it for yourself. We will definitely go back again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!"
