Babette Bed and Breakfast

Babette is a unique, Provencal-style home with three garden cottages and a romantic room with a view in a separate part of the main house. Built-in French style the house and rooms are full of lovely details, wooden beams on the ceiling and robust stone floors, all to create a homely and romantic atmosphere. The beautiful lush garden has a saltwater swimming pool and plenty of quaint corners for you to sit and relax.

Wake each morning to a beautiful breakfast served on our patio, or if you like on your private patio. We are proud to serve daily changing homemade surprises as well as full breakfast made from fresh local produce.

We provide excellent standard of quality and comfort, perfectly located in Drostdy Street, the historic heart of Swellendam, accommodation from R450 per person including breakfast, shaded secure parking, guest lounge and complimentary Wi-Fi. On request we offer picnic baskets, laundry service and use of mountain bikes.

Babette has four individually styled rooms; Olivier is our African style decorated cottage with twin beds and private patio. It is the only cottage with sleeper couch for an extra person and has limited self-catering options.Romarin is our romantic green double extra-large bedroom. From your private patio you have lovely garden and pool views. Lavender is our most romantic double king-size bedroom, located on the first floor in a separate part of the main house. You have your own entrance and lovely Mountain and garden views from your balcony. Rose is our double room, inspired by flowers. It stands on its own and from your private patio you have lovely mountain views.
