Our guest house is designed to provide the comfort, space and privacy that one would expect from a 4 Star establishment. It is set in a lush, tropical garden that borders the nature reserve.
African Ambiance is surrounded by tranquil koi ponds and water features, creating the ideal ambience to relax. The thatched home has very spacious rooms with en-suite bathrooms, private entrances, patios, air- conditioning, safes and tea trays. The Honeymoon Room has a spa bath, TV and fridge.
Breakfast is served at leisure in the dining room or on the patio overlooking the rock pool. Delight in seeing antelope, squirrels, monkeys and birds. Dinner can be served on request and there are numerous restaurants within walking distance. We offer a laundry service and the hosts are dedicated to making their guests stay an unforgettable one.
Things to do in the area include Big 5 game viewing, night drives, kayaking and estuary boat cruises to view the crocs, hippos and birds. Guests can also enjoy snorkelling, fishing, horse riding, whale and turtle watching in season and off-road or self-drive experiences. There is a crocodile centre and a golf course, or guests can browse around the shops in the village.

"We stayed for one night at the guest house and found it appropriate and a good place to stay over. The ambiance is good and the hosts organised a very nice boat trip for us. The atmosphere in general is professional, however it's not as 'familiar' as we experienced it elsewhere."

"My eight-year-old daughter Jessie and I stayed at the guest house for five nights recently and loved it! John was so helpful and arranged trips for us every day in and around St Lucia.
Breakfast was fabulous with plenty to eat and even special pancakes for my daughter which she loved! Thank you for your hospitality. I hope we can return one day!"

"This guest house was such a fantastic place to stay.It had a really peaceful, relaxed feel to it .We were very very comfortable in beautiful thatched style rooms with our own verandah.The lounge was inviting full of lovely chunky wooden furniture with wonderful flowers and gardens around the house. The breakfast was cooked fresh and my choice of some lovely scrambled eggs and grilled mushrooms and a small stylish garnish typified the special touches the owners went to. We had a brilliant deep sea fishing adventure with John and enjoyed a juicy braai of fresh caught Tuna. I can't recommend this place enough.Parking was easy in the secure area behind the security fence. the only very small comment I would make is that the pool is very small but as we went out on safari most days it did not matter.John was very informative and really helped us make the most of our short stay. We loved the Wetlands Park and swimming at Cape Vidal. Next time we will stay longer!"
