Celtis Lodge Country Retreat

Celtis Lodge Country Retreat is a lovely 3 Star country retreat set in 24 hectares of beautiful open countryside, just 7 km from Magaliesburg and an hours drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The lodge comprises the original 19th century farmhouse and four thatched roof cottages, namely Lavender, Rock, Mulberry and Rose.

Celtis Lodge is located on a farm so it is very peaceful and tranquil, with abundant and colourful bird life. There is a swimming pool, horse riding, and a healing room where you can have a soothing hour-long massage. There is also a labyrinth you can walk through, and a little consecrated chapel where couples can get married or have naming ceremonies for their baby.

The accommodation varies from large en-suite farmhouse bedrooms to thatched cottages which are tucked away and very private. All have comfortable beds with down duvets and percale cotton sheets.

A five course candlelit dinner is served in the evening and full English breakfast is served from 9.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m., giving you a chance to stay in bed late. Light lunches can be ordered if you get peckish.
